Businesses across East Lancashire will be praised at an awards ceremony, which will be held in Blackburn in February.

The Lancashire Tourism Awards will take place at King George’s Hall, on February 6.

The Crow Wood Hotel and Spa Resort in Burnley,  CDJ Restaurant in Darwen and King George’s Hall in Blackburn are just some of the local businesses that have been named as finalists for an award this year.

Last year's winners include The Whitehall Hotel and Distillery in Darwen, who won the resilience and innovation award, and Ribble Valley Retreat in Langho who won best camping, glamping and holiday park of the year.

Anna Izza, head of PR and communications for the Lancashire Tourism Awards, said: “The annual Lancashire Tourism Awards celebrate the importance of Lancashire’s £4.8billion visitor economy and the very many achievements and successes of tourism and leisure businesses all over the county.

“Together, they provide an impressive choice of holidays, short breaks and experiences to over 64 million visitors a year, who choose to visit Lancashire.

“Every year our tourism award judges remark on the passion and creativity of the finalists and this year, with the addition of the new category of family owned/run business, the competition now also acknowledges those families that make a special contribution to Lancashire’s renowned hospitality and reputation for visitor service excellence.

“The competition this year has been very strong and each finalist should be very proud of making it this far.

“However, the wait is almost over and the winners of the Lancashire Tourism Awards for 2023 will soon be celebrating amongst their friends and colleagues, as they receive their coveted award at King George’s Hall. We wish them all the very best of luck.”

Tickets for the event are currently on sale. Prices start at £120 for non-Visit Lancashire partners. For Visit Lancashire partners prices start from £102 per ticket. They can be purchased from the Lancashire Tourism Awards website.

Ticket includes a drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment and the winner announcements.
